An easy casting shooting head designed for effortless distance and great presentation

• The RIO Scandi head is a very easy casting Scandi style shooting head, built on RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore for the utmost in casting control and sensitivity. It is available in a multitude of lengths and weights to cover all rod and angling situations. For tight casting spots and the utmost in ease of casting use a head length that is between 2.5 and 3 times the length of the rod, thus a 12 ft rod would work best with a head that is between 30 and 36 ft in length. The shorter the head length, the tighter the back casting space an angler can fish in. With more room and better casting skills a longer head provides the angler with less line to strip in between each cast and more fishing time.

The InTouch Short Head Spey line from RIO is a very easy casting, traditional style Spey line with a short head that is ideal for Spey casters moving up from easier casting Scandi and Skagit heads. The head length varies between 40 ft and 50 ft, depending on line size, and it is a great choice of traditional Spey line for anglers using shorter rods and when fishing in tight quarters.

The line has an integrated running line built in, and is an interchangeable tip style line - meaning the front 15ft floating tip is attached to the line with a loop-to-loop connection, allowing anglers to switch tips according to water conditions and guide recommendations.

RIO recommends the 15ft InTouch replacement tips as the best options for this. The line is built with RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore for the very best in efficiency and load.
