These tips are 15ft long, and have a steady front taper of about 3ft, which allows for good presentation of a fly. Each tip has a color coded loop at the rear, and is printed with the tip size - attach the printed end to the fly line. The tips are built on RIO's ultra-low stretch ConnectCore for the maximum in sensitivity and performance, and are density compensated at the front end (not the intermediate) for the best fishing performance.

RIO’S 10ft Light Scandi VersiLeaders have a strong core of 24 lbs and come in a range of different densities.

They are a great addition to lightweight Spey lines and Scandinavian heads of less than an 8wt. A neat, bullet-proof welded loop at the butt end allows for fast rigging.

The Extra Heavy MOW Tips are the heaviest of the MOW series; built with T-17 for the sinking section and with a sink rate of nearly 10" per second, it really gets down when depth is needed. Each of the tips either have a gray floating section, or a gray loop for easy identification. These tips are ideal on the heavier Skagit lines of 675 grains and more. 

The Heavy MOW Tips feature T-14, with a sink rate of 9" per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a light blue floating section or a blue sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Heavy MOW Tips are designed for the heaviest of flies and are ideal for Skagit lines of 575 grains and more.

The Medium MOW Tips feature T-11, with a sink rate of 8" per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a light green floating section or a green sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Medium MOW Tips are designed for heavily weighted flies and are ideal for Skagit lines between 475 and 575 grains.

The Light MOW Tips feature T-8, with a sink rate of 7" per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a white floating section or a white sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Light MOW Tips are designed for lightly weighted flies and are ideal for Skagit lines of 475 grains and less.

• These fast sinking, level tips use tungsten powder for density, not lead and, as a result, are supple, do not kink and sink like a rock. Built on RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore, they are extremely sensitive to soft grabs and ensure fast, solid hook sets.
• The tips are color-coded for quick identification and are made with an easy-to-weld coating
• Each tip is designed to be cut and tuned to the angler’s individual fishing and casting requirements
• Loops available on all 30ft lengths, except for T-20

Designed with greater suppleness and shock absorption for use on light lines. Floating, hover and intermediate leaders ensure the most delicate of presentations to spooky fish in lakes and spring creeks whilst the sinking versions allow nymphs to be fished at depth without adding weight to the fly or shot to the tippet.
