Lead Wire Natural is a round high grade lead wire which comes on a spool.

It can be used extensively to weigh down flies, making ribs and  especially nymphs.

Lead wire should be treated with caution as lead is known to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm and cancer.

Exposure to lead during pregnancy can affect brain development and cause learning and behavior problems for the child.

We recommend that you use protective gloves when using or winding lead wire onto flies if you are tying lots of flies.

Weighted flies often help us get quickly to where fish are, especially in fast currents. Our Lead Free Heavy Weighted Wire is easy to wrap around the hook in one or more layers for example to build up a shrimp body profile.

Non toxic Lead Free Heavy Weighted Wire is much better for the environment unlike pure lead wires which has been banned in many countries for fishing.

Lead Free Heavy Weighted Wire has a density of about 60% that of lead so is still heavy enough to get your fly to where you want to fish on rivers and stillwaters but still perfectly mouldable for shape to get the profile you want.
